RJ Development + Advisors LLC, in November 2019, completed the development, entitlement, and permitting of a 71,430 square foot hotel for the publicly traded Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH).
The hotel development marks the completion of the final phase of the Route 34 West Masterplan of Development, which the RJ Development + Advisors’ Principals have led since 2013. The development site is located steps away from Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Main Campus as well as Downtown New Haven.
Choice Hotels delivered its upscale Cambria Hotel brand as the company’s first and only entry into New Haven proper to serve Yale University and Yale-New Haven Hospital. The Cambria Hotel New Haven includes 130 rooms, an onsite restaurant/bar, meeting and fitness amenities, and more. Featuring compelling design inspired by the location, the Cambria Hotel New Haven also offers spacious and comfortable accommodations, flexible meeting space, and local freshly prepared food and craft beer.
The Cambria hotel broke ground in March 2021 and opened in December 2022. With its upscale appointments and offerings, the Cambria Hotel New Haven has been received as a welcome addition to the market and represents a satisfying completion to the Route 34 West Masterplan of Development.
